Products and Applications

Our product range embraces toroidal tape-wound cores (RBK) made from crystalline, amorphous and nano-crystalline metallic, soft magnetic alloys. Amorphous (VAC tradename VITROVAC) and nano-crystalline (VAC tradename VITROPERM) alloys are produced in one single step, i.e. using rapid solidification technology thin ribbons are jet cast directly from the melt. These combine the high permeabilities of the crystalline NiFe alloys with the good frequency behaviour of ceramic ferrites. Main fields of application are signal and power transformers covering several kHz to several MHz as well as common-mode RFI suppression chokes.
